We found this lovely cloth alphabet/measurement chart hanger in a charity shop and we love it. The colours are great, better than the photos, really. 

This is one of my favourites images. You have to love those birds.

No excuse to learn the alphabet now.

I am trying to spend more time with my camera. I had photography a bit abandoned lately and almost forgot how much I enjoy carrying my Canon everywhere.

Collection

This is part of my growing collection of old books. Mainly bought in charity shops and e-bay. Some have strange stories but all are illustrated beautifully.

Inspired by this book. This was a very easy and fun project to do. Only took me two hours and a half and I did not have to undo anything, which is not at all like me when it comes to sewing.

14 February

First quilt finished

A long, long time ago I decided to make a doll's quilt (see here) not really knowing how to even make a quilt. I started doing the nice bit, choosing fabrics and unevenly sewing them together. Then it was left unfinished for many months until I eventually learnt (bother learning) how to finish it properly, mainly how to do the binding. So now I can (I think) make a quilt. Hooray! And dolls can snuggle to a cosy quilt in this house at last.

Made again

Last October we lost in Gatwick this teddy I made for Ana's 1st birthday. I was so upset we lost "pipi" I couldn't sleep that night (I bit sad, I know). Ana only noticed its absence because I kept on talking about how sad it was that teddy was gone, and oh I wonder where he is now kind of thing,  but it's not like she particularly missed it. Anyway, you can guess what comes next, I had to make another one, not for Ana's sake but for me. 

And here it is.

 I very much felt that I had to use the same materials and I couldn't resist to add a  little friend.

Christmas was a lot of fun for Ana because she spent it with her cousins. She laughed and enjoyed every minute of it.
